The purpose of Training Needs Assessment (TNA) or identifying Training Needs is to focus on the knowledge, skills and attitudes that are required for certain work or action.
For example, ERT Volunteers are expected to deliver dissemination sessions for the school students and general public. Now we shall have to find out if they have proper knowledge, skills and positive attitude to
do the job efficiently. If not then the question raises in which area and particularly which knowledge and skill do they need to improve. In fact these are their training needs.
